I went on to retire from the U.S. Army as a Colonel after 28 years.
Whole rest of the story at my face book page. http://www.facebook.com Now I’m living in Virginia and looking to start a second career in the private sector.

Hi Ken,
I was the low key guy in the corner at the AYA. I was teamed up with Diane Reese as one of the primary teams on the fussball table most nights in 74 & 75. DJ'd the dances when Blue went down with back problems. I'll try to post an old photo of the gang to see if that rings a bell. Thanks for the welcome. I actually attended one of the early reunions in Vegas and was on the original site lists. Since then life has gotten a bit crazy. Hope to be able to come out and play more often. Take care, Harlen

It's funny how people will ignore you or even abuse you if they think they are on top. Then like you said, now he wants some help. Were his tools worth buying?(haha). There is nothing unethical about doing the best you can, taking care of your customers, your employees, and providing a good living for your family.
Keep rolling my friend, I am cheering you on.
I still think it is great that your business is still getting new clients. I would think that hotels would take one of two approaches during this downturn; either hunker down and hope for the best or get aggressive and upgrade, market, etc. I think the second approach will pay off for these guys as they claim even greater market share from being aggressive. You can survive playing defense but eventually you have to attack if you want to win.
Are you still getting customers from your website?
Ken, I went back through our previous conversations and you mentioned that John has MS. Any idea how he is doing? My wife has MS and if he needs a friend to talk to, give him my info.

Ken, I don't remember John Massey and couldn't find him in the year books. Was he the same grade as us? When was he there?
Wow, you are lucky you didn't get caught. I remember those rolling shutters. They were so heavy they lifted my youngest brother off his feet. Great memories!!

Hi Ken,
I am going to find some old letters that have the address. I would love to see the old house. We had the third floor, just two bedrooms, an attic and a bathroom. My mom and dad's apartment was below us and we had to go to the common hallway to get to their part. On the bottom floor, was a German family with one child. We drove them nuts! We would take the twin mattress and slide down the cylinder stairs into our parents apartment. You could hear us banging on the wall of the stairwell. My parents were gone or they would have kicked our butts! Gee, fun memories. Thanks for the Google tip!
