Well, I was on the 76 and 77 Jr Rockets, and I remember most of the names in this group.

I remember trying to run before we started practicing in 77 with Bill and Dan Filla.  I sort of remember Bill breaking his leg in 77, but I might be wrong, some one broke their leg though.  I remember ditching a lot of practice with Dan though.

I played bench warmer in 76 (#19), and O tackle and D end (72) in 77.

I remember the nicknames starting in 77 when someone carved ASS on the back of Eric Nobles helmet, and he added an ASS in front and an "IN" in the back for ASSASSIN as Eric was a resourceful fellow.  I remember he played the monster linebacker in the "famous" 5-2 monster man defense.

I even wrote a short story about my transition for bench warmer to player in college English class and it even got published in the school literary compilation.  I could post it if anyone was interested, but it is thoroughly embellished.

I accidentally found this site today by trying to remember how to actually spell Rhein Main.  I probably still have the 77 team picture but can't find it right now, maybe even the 76 picture; I even have the dinky little trophy we got in 77 at the end of the season on my dresser.

Sorry but could not resist posting as this brought back tons of memories.

Hi I'm Ed Parmenter I was one of the assistant coaches. I'm setting right behind Tyrone. I’m the one in the blue jacket and glasses. I worked mainly with the safeties. That was alot of fun.

Haven't been on in awhile. Bill thanks for posting the newspaper clippings. It sure brought back some great memories. I was also able to prove to my sons that I played and was a half way decent player. I hope you are planning on going to Vegas. I need to get you my information, so if your ever back in Phoenix visiting family we can hookup for a beer or two. The Jr Rockets were really a great football team. Thanks again for the great memories.
