I think everyone needs to post a picture of themselves on their member page. It is obvious that all of us have aged gracefully and are even better looking now than we were back then (which is extremely hard to believe that was even possible)!
Completely agree with you, Tony... Although I must admit I was wondering if it might not be a good idea for folks to post "then" photos of themselves... There's been several times in my experience when the name didn't ring a bell, but when I saw their old photo it was like, "Oh yeah... I remember them!" Anyway, just food for thought...
I agree. I don't know if I have any of those though. I will have to look around. If anybody has the RM annuals for 72 & 73 and is willing to scan some pages I would appreciate it very much. Those would be great to have posted. I have the 71 annual but the Jr. High pages were done in a montage style and I can't always identify who is who on the page.
Woody,
71-72 would have been 7th grade for me. I think you are right about the 73 yearbook. I have the 73 yearbook from Frankfurt (my sister's) if anybody needs pics from that.
Thanks
There's an on line copy of the 74 year book. You can access it through the main RMBrats web site. I have 70 and 71 FAHS yearbooks and am willing to scan photos for anyone (although not until after my daughters wedding in 10 days, I'm crazy until then.) And of course if you already have an old photo anywhere on the RM web site, you can always just copy and edit it for your profile picture, i.e. from the "directory" page, or from one of the photo pages that Egg maintains.
I wouldn't say I've aged "gracefully", but I resist the requests to shave my head completely and dye my hair. Some people are more sensitive than others, but it is nice to see the people we are talking to.
It's a good idea! When I get to a place and computer that I can do it on or have a picture that won't make everyone blind.....then I'll post! I do like the site.
I know that on my dad's high school - Zama American High- Camp Zama Japan (Army base) website they have all the yearbooks from 1960 to at least 2000 scanned and posted. I know that one person scanned them as they were mailed to her and then sent back to the owner.Only someone with the time and equipment should volunteer to do the task... and if there was enough space on the site to support the scanned books.I agree that it does help to see a then photo and a now photo in order to jog the ole' brain cells.
